Dessert and Baking Courses
Dessert and Baking courses at Walker Academy are designed to be short and practical with most of the courses are within the range of 3 hours with 80% practical hands-on application and also 20% critical insights. In this course we cover different methods of dessert creations and also baking from bread, custard based, muesli, cakes, and so on. All of our courses are made to affordable and accessible. Our venue is located at 190 Woodlands Industrial Park E5 #10-04, Woodlands BizHub, Singapore 757516 (3 stops from Woodlands North MRT with bus under 856).
Creme Brulee Making
Creme Brulee making is about making custard based dessert which is simple yet delicious originally invented from France and has a profound impression as the Creme Brulee is one of the dessert that needs to be torched to create a caramelised sugar on the top. Onf of the artisan based dessert that has high perceived value. In this couse, learners will learn on how to master Creme Brulee from scratch including the history, tips and tricks, and so on.
In this course, learners will learn to make 3 different Creme Brulee with different bases from lemon custard based, raspberry jam based, and also orginal custard based. The toppings will be using strawberries, lemon slices, blueberries, honey, mint, and so on.

Egg Tart and Pandan Cake
Egg tart is another custard dessert while looks simple, but requires precision and perfection to make. In addition in this course, we also explore on how to make Pandan cake from scratch from making the batter. Both dishes are simiar in nature on how to make. Using convection method, you will learn on how to make the precise original egg custard modelled after Hong kong style of egg custard making.
In this module, learners will learn to make 2 different dishes, which are egg tarts from and pandan cakes from scratch that will take at least 3 hours to finish. After this course, learners will be able to experiment different custart fillings such as lemon based, soya based, and so on.

There are several different types of brownies and banana bread. In this course, we are exploring the standard method of making bread based brownies and bread based banana loaf in which learners will learn to make from scratch from on how to mix and mix the batter and to bake it to perfections.
In this course, learners will learn to make 1 chocolate based brownies and 1 generic banana loaf. The facilitation includes tips and tricks for improvements and also covering the fundamentals of baking.

Pancakes and Waffles
Pancake and Waffles are good dessert to make especially for breakfast and tea breaks. While simple, it has a lot ways to innovate and to be creative in the process making. In this workshop, we will use the American styled waffles and pancakes. We will also explore hokkaido based pancake that has sponge effect. We will cover the basic of dough and batter making covering also the mixing and frying methods.

Peanut Butter Making
Peanut Butter making workshop includes just beyond making classic delicious peanut butter, but also other types of spread such as Sri Kaya, Hummus, and Pesto Spread. This pineapple tart covers Singapore style pineapple tarts from scratch and we will be experimenting on making the fillings. Pineapple tart workshop covers the dry custart making concentrating on the types of filling, types of crust, and different types of design and so on.
This course will be making 2 different types of pineapple tarts with one the pineapple filling inside and pineapple fillings outside. Learners will also focus on designing the pineapple tarts and making it more appealing and tasty.

Healthy Spreads and Jams
In the Healthy Spreads and Jams, the focus will be to make healthy with less sugar and delicious jams as well as spreads. In this workshop, we will look into the common popular jams from strawberry jam, pineapple jam, and raspberry while for the spreads, we will be looking at Healthy Spreads such as how to do French Toast and how to do Avocado Scramble Egg Toast.
In this workshop, there are a total 6 dishes covered to ensure that learners will be able to master the fundamentals of jam and spread making. The corner stone of this workshop would be understanding the science to blend different ingredient ensuring the proper mixing to bring out the best of the taste.

Japanese Mochi Making Workshop
The Japanese Mochi workshop is about making traditional style mochi from Japan where it involves in kneading, molding, and mixing the dough using rice flour to create the best and authentic mochi experiences. Fruit Tarts Making Workshop
