Course Info: (3 Hours) Sambal Belacan Workshop

This course is specially curated by Walker Enterprise Academy to give a detailed workshop on how to make 3 different sambals from Indonesia including Sambal Belacan using only fresh ingredients and also 3 dishses that goes well with the sambal paste that the learners have successfully made in the class. Why is this course special? Indonesian sambals have multiple different ingredients inside with majorities have more than 8 types of ingredients inside. Indonesia is not only rich in herbs, spices, and chillis, there are also more than 100 different ways to make chilli paste. Almost every region in Indonesia will have their own chilli recipe. In this context, we are sharing the fundamentals and tasty recipes with our learners in which the learners will learn the following dishes: 

1. Sambal Belacan using Indonesian made Fermented Prawn Paste using Fresh Prawns as well. 

2. Learners will learn to blend different fresh ingredients and learn the fundamentals of chilli making including ingredients that goes well with chilli. 

3. Learners will make Sambal Tomatoes and also Sambal Tongkol from scratch. 

4. Finally learners will be using the three differen sambals to make (1) Sambal Kangkong (2) Sambal Fried Rice and (3) Sambal Tongkol.
