


Course Info: (3 Hours) Onigiri Making Workshop
Who should you Attend?
This course is covering ready to eat specially for lunch takeaways or even for light bites that is fun for both adults and children. The theme will be “Japanese Rice Ball”. The course will cover the understanding of making Japanese Onigiri traditionally covering the history, the evolution, and also the tips and tricks to do these Onigiri. In addition, we will look into different types of shape, ingredient, and condiment used to making the onigiri. We will also cover the making of Onigiri Rice from scratch using Japanese Grain Rice. The learning outcomes for the onigiri workshop will be as follows:
1. Food Hygiene and Food Safety fundamentals for Cold Kitchen
2. Food Preparation Steps for Ready To Eat and also Introduction to Onigiri.
3. Learners will get to make the Onigiri Rice from scratch including for Chicken Stock infused Seasoned Rice.
4 Learners will get to make the Onigiri Furikake
5. Learners will get to make Yaki Hiyaki Onigiri.
6. Learners will get to make the Onigiri Tuna Egg Mayonaise
7. Learners will get to make Saba Teriyaki Onigiri
8. Learners will get to make Karashi Mentaiko Onigiri.
